Training of Experts on Quality Assurance in Higher Education – Mostar, 16 June 2026

As part of the SMEQA project (Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina), a specialized Training of Experts workshop will be held on 16 June 2026 at the University of Mostar.

The event brings together quality assurance professionals, higher education experts, and institutional representatives to strengthen capacities for external quality assurance processes in higher education. Through a combination of presentations, simulations, group work, and discussions, participants will gain practical insights into expert training methodologies and quality assurance procedures.

The programme will feature an overview of the Croatian experience in training external evaluation experts, highlighting successful approaches to capacity building and expert selection. Participants will then engage in hands-on activities, including the analysis of self-evaluation reports, simulation of site visits and interviews, evidence-based assessment exercises, and preparation of oral reports.

The training will also emphasize the importance of structured reporting, objective evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making, providing participants with valuable skills for future quality assurance reviews.

By fostering knowledge exchange and practical learning, the workshop contributes to the SMEQA project’s mission of enhancing the quality assurance system in higher education across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
