Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project “Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina – SMEQA” (Project No. 101128889-ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND 3), a workshop entitled “Data Collection and Statistical Data Processing at Institutional and Study Programme Level” will be held on Thursday, 27 November 2025, at the University of Zenica, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The event is jointly organised by the University of Zenica, the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HEA), and project partners. The workshop aims to strengthen institutional and national capacities for data collection, analysis, and interpretation in support of evidence-based decision-making and quality enhancement in higher education.
The programme will include contributions from representatives of HEA, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, and the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE) of Croatia, providing insights into data management practices and their application in higher education systems.
Through plenary presentations, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants will:
- Explore approaches to systematic data collection and processing at institutional and study programme levels;
- Discuss the use of statistical data for development, planning, and policy monitoring in higher education;
- Exchange institutional experiences and identify common challenges and areas for improvement.
This workshop represents an important step in advancing a coherent and data-driven approach to quality assurance and policy development in the higher education sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
