As part of the Erasmus+ project Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SMEQA), a workshop titled “Training of Experts” will be held on 12 May 2026 at the University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Agriculture.
The workshop is intended for representatives of higher education institutions, quality assurance agencies, and experts involved in quality assurance processes in higher education. Its main objective is to strengthen capacities and mechanisms for enhancing the quality assurance system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The programme will include opening remarks by representatives of the host institution, the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance (HEA), and the project coordinator, followed by an overview of the training objectives, purpose, and methodology.
A special segment of the workshop will focus on the Slovenian experience, presented by a representative of NAKVIS, highlighting good practices in expert training, capacity building, and the selection of experts.
Participants will take part in practical activities, including a simulation of the expert preparation phase, analysis of selected excerpts from the Self-Evaluation Report (SER), and group work based on assigned roles. The workshop will also feature a simulation of a site visit, including interview processes, evaluation of collected evidence, and preparation of oral reports.
The final part of the programme will be dedicated to presentations of group work results, discussion of key observations, and the importance of structured, clear, objective, and evidence-based reporting in quality assurance processes.
This event is organized in cooperation with the HERE team in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of joint efforts to strengthen quality assurance capacities in higher education.
